Guided by renowned airborne leader and historian Colonel Keith Nightingale, the film journeys across the battlefields of Normandy, where archival voices of World War II paratroopers intertwine with reflections from today’s military leaders. Through exclusive interviews with Generals Christopher Donahue, Keith Kellogg, David Rodriguez, and David Gardner; Colonel Daniel Leard; Command Sergeant Major Mendoza; SGM Sean Webb; and other distinguished leaders, the film explores how the courage, leadership, and sacrifice of June 6, 1944 continue to shape today’s airborne soldiers and inspire future generations.

Beyond the battlefield, the documentary celebrates the extraordinary bond between the 82nd Airborne Division and the people of Normandy. Aerial cinematography, commemorative parachute drops, staff rides, D-Day ceremonies, and an unprecedented roundtable discussion among former commanding generals create a powerful story of leadership, remembrance, service, and legacy.

Continuing the World War II Heroes Foundation’s educational initiative, the Foundation plans to make free curriculum available for middle and high schools, with resources adaptable for college classrooms. Designed to accompany the film, the curriculum will help students explore the history of the 82nd Airborne and the enduring lessons of service, sacrifice, leadership, and responsibility.
