Jeannine Rivet
Beginning her career as a registered nurse, Jeannine earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College and a Master of Public Health from Boston University. Her contributions to healthcare, business, and public service have earned her numerous honors, including an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Minnesota. Throughout her career and retirement, she has remained actively involved in corporate and nonprofit boards while mentoring and encouraging future generations of leaders.
Together with her husband, Warren, Jeannine has devoted significant time and resources to philanthropy, faith-based education, community service, and honoring America’s veterans. Their commitment to giving back reflects Jeannine’s belief that each generation has a responsibility to learn from the past and create a meaningful legacy for those who follow.
Jeannine’s connection to America’s military history is also deeply personal. Her father served as a U.S. Marine in the Pacific during World War II, including service at Guadalcanal and in the Philippines. Her mother served stateside in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) with the Army Air Forces. A French speaker, she had hoped to serve in France but remained in the United States, where Jeannine recalls that she worked in a purchasing or clerical role. Three of Jeannine’s uncles also served in the U.S. Navy.
Jeannine and Warren have been long-time supporters of efforts to preserve the history and personal stories of the World War II generation. Their commitment has included supporting veteran-related initiatives and traveling to Normandy, where they have experienced firsthand the enduring gratitude shown to the Americans who fought for Europe’s liberation. Their ongoing, unyielding support for faith-based education has led them to the World War II Heroes Foundation.
As a member of the World War II Heroes Foundation Advisory Board, Jeannine brings decades of leadership, philanthropy, and service to the Foundation’s mission of educating young students, preserving the stories of our veterans, and passing their experiences and lessons on to future generations.
